Format
Description
- Context-sensitive interactive help system.
- Components: OS-level resource engine and content files in database format.
- Use options:
- Menu item from an application's help menu
- Help button in a dialog box
- When invoked, the system assesses application and system status, and provides help content based on user queries such as "How do I adjust the sound volume?" The system then presents an on-the-fly series of task panels from the database. If the user does not complete a step, Apple Guide provides remediation and can complete the step for the user.
